Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Power Electronics Engineer for the Starlink project to design and develop power conversion and control systems for satellites. You'll work with technologies like MATLAB and Embedded Linux in Redmond.

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in power electronics design and analysis — your expertise spans low voltage to kV range systems, and you are comfortable working with power levels from 1W to many kW. You are familiar with various applications including solar/MPPT, battery systems, and motors/actuators, and you have a solid understanding of the principles of power conversion and control systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that have a global impact.

You possess hands-on experience with testing and validating power electronics systems — you have a knack for troubleshooting and optimizing designs to ensure high performance and reliability. Your analytical skills allow you to conduct thorough analyses and simulations, and you are proficient in using tools like MATLAB for modeling and testing. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet stringent requirements.

Desirable

Experience with satellite systems or aerospace applications would be a plus, as would familiarity with embedded systems and programming.
