Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. You possess a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, and you have experience working with Kubernetes, networking, and large-scale distributed systems. Your background includes building networking components and products such as load balancers, firewalls, and network protocols. You are also familiar with developing accessible technologies and have a strong foundation in software architecture and system architecture.

You are versatile and display leadership qualities, eager to tackle new challenges across the full stack. You thrive in collaborative environments and are enthusiastic about engaging with the open-source community to shape the future of networking in Kubernetes. You are committed to advocating for the technology you work on at meetups and forums, and you enjoy engaging with consumers and the community in public.

Desirable

A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields would be a plus. Experience in building networking components and products is highly desirable, as is familiarity with network virtualization solutions for container and VM workloads.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will work on critical projects that address the needs of Google Cloud.
