Job Description
The candidate will develop production applications and services to ensure a positive customer experience that is inline with Amazon business objectives. They have an understanding and empathy for Amazon’s customers and business objectives, particularly those aspects relevant to the team and division (where “division” is an organization which can include about 150 people).
The Systems Development engineer will continually align their work with Amazon’s business objectives and seek to deliver business value. They proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon’s business and relevant technologies. They regularly work across multiple teams to resolve issues.
Key job responsibilities
The candidate should possess strong skills in development with React.js, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+) is essential for building user interfaces efficiently.
the candidate must be proficient in Node.js and Express.js, with experience in building RESTful APIs.
Candidates should be well-versed in core AWS services, including compute services like EC2 and Lambda, storage solutions like S3, and database services like RDS.
Experienced in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or the AWS CDK is a valuable asset. Furthermore, an understanding of networking concepts like VPC, subnets, and security groups, as well as configuring Load Balancers and Route 53, is desirable.
Key job responsibilities
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Experience tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)
3+ years of DevOps or SysOps in a large-scale software development environment experience- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
