Overview

Graphcore is seeking a Component Engineer to support new product introduction and volume manufacturing. You'll collaborate with various teams to manage component specifications and sourcing. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering and embedded systems.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in component selection and sourcing for manufacturing processes. You are detail-oriented and diligent, ensuring that components meet performance, reliability, and quality standards. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, fostering strong relationships to achieve project goals. You are familiar with embedded systems and have hands-on experience with tools like Altium Designer, which aids in your ability to specify and manage components effectively. You understand the complexities of manufacturing operations and are eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI compute technologies.

Desirable

Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes and a solid understanding of supply chain dynamics would be advantageous. Familiarity with quality assurance practices and testing methodologies will enhance your ability to contribute to the team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn will help you thrive in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the specification, selection, and sourcing of components necessary for the manufacturing of Graphcore's products. You will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that all components meet the required standards for performance and reliability. Your role will involve working with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, where you will negotiate and manage component specifications to align with manufacturing needs. You will also participate in new product introduction processes, ensuring that all components are ready for production and meet quality expectations. As part of the Manufacturing and Technology Process team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of robust manufacturing processes, helping to drive efficiency and quality in production.
