Who you are

You have 2+ years of experience managing, leading, and inspiring a team of engineers — you've successfully guided teams through the development of user-facing applications and understand the importance of collaboration in achieving project goals. You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to write code or prototype new features, demonstrating your technical expertise while fostering a culture of innovation within your team. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with Product and Design teams to create delightful user experiences. You are accountable for driving project execution and ensuring that your team meets its objectives while maintaining high standards of quality.

Desirable

Experience in cloud-managed systems or physical security solutions would be a plus, as would familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools. You are passionate about mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow in their careers while achieving collective success.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager at Verkada, you will be directly responsible for building and managing the user-facing applications in our camera product line. This includes overseeing both frontend and backend engineers, ensuring that the team is aligned with the company's vision and goals. You will inspire your team to create highly polished and delightful user experiences, working closely with Product and Design to build and ship features that delight users and customers. You will be accountable for driving project execution, collaborating with other engineering leaders to define, communicate, and execute on goals, priorities, and processes.
