Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Senior Contracts Manager to lead pre- and post-award contract activities for complex construction projects. This role requires expertise in developing sourcing strategies and driving contract negotiations.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in contract management, particularly in the construction sector, and are adept at navigating complex contract negotiations. Your background includes developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with contracting policies and processes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project excellence. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to establish supplier performance standards and drive continuous improvement in contract management practices. Your leadership abilities allow you to guide teams effectively, fostering a culture of accountability and respect.

Desirable

Experience in large-scale datacenter construction projects is a plus, as is familiarity with Microsoft’s contracting policies. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining a focus on quality and compliance. A background in procurement or supply chain management would enhance your candidacy, as would any certifications related to contract management or procurement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the pre- and post-award contract activities for Microsoft’s datacenter construction projects. You will collaborate with the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team to ensure that all contracts adhere to Microsoft’s policies and processes. Your responsibilities will include developing multi-year sourcing strategies, leading supplier selection processes, and driving contract negotiations to secure favorable terms for Microsoft. You will establish supplier performance standards and monitor compliance to ensure project excellence. Additionally, you will work closely with the Sub-Regional Contracts Lead to align contract management practices with broader organizational objectives. Your role will also involve mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of contract management processes.
