You have over 5 years of experience in operations management, particularly in logistics or manufacturing environments. Your background includes developing and implementing production plans, managing teams, and improving operational efficiency. You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to manage various performance metrics effectively. Your leadership experience includes mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance. You are fluent in both Japanese and English, enabling you to communicate effectively in a diverse workplace. You have a solid understanding of project management principles and have successfully led cross-functional projects in the past. Familiarity with methodologies such as 5S, QC circles, and Six Sigma is a plus, as you strive to implement best practices in your operations.
In this role, you will oversee the entire production and operational planning for the delivery station in Hiroshima. You will collaborate with various departments to forecast monthly volumes and create weekly operational plans. Your responsibilities will include managing staffing levels, ensuring that the right number of personnel is available to meet operational demands. You will lead improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency, utilizing the latest technologies and process reviews. You will also be responsible for resolving operational issues as they arise, developing recovery plans for any disruptions in service. Regular meetings with your team and other managers will be essential to report on performance metrics and facilitate discussions on operational improvements. You will be expected to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays, adapting to the operational needs of the station.
