You are a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for building performant, scalable, and maintainable services. In this role, you will join Udemy's mission to transform lives through learning by contributing to the development of their AI-powered skills acceleration platform. You will work on both backend and frontend services, ensuring that they are performant and scalable. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with product managers and designers to define project requirements, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving the codebase. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge with the team, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
You will be expected to take ownership of your projects, from scoping and execution to delivery and maintenance. This includes identifying and resolving technical challenges, optimizing existing systems, and implementing new features that enhance the user experience. You will work in a hybrid environment, spending three days a week in the office and having flexibility on the remaining days.
