You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing algorithms for state estimation and sensor fusion. Your expertise in C++ allows you to engineer and deploy robust, production-quality software that integrates data from various sensors, including inertial and GNSS systems. You are comfortable working with large datasets and have a strong understanding of performance evaluation frameworks. Your collaborative spirit makes you a great fit for a diverse team of engineers focused on advancing autonomous driving technology.
Experience with autonomous systems or robotics is a plus, as is familiarity with real-time systems and performance optimization techniques. You are eager to leverage your skills in a fast-paced environment and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance mobility and safety.
In this role, you will develop algorithms aimed at improving the accuracy and robustness of Waymo's core state estimation algorithm. You will also build and maintain tools, pipelines, and evaluation frameworks to rigorously assess the performance of positioning systems across millions of miles of real-world driving data. Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $204,000—$259,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
