Pushpay is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance their SaaS offerings. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure system reliability and performance. This role requires relevant SRE experience and applicable qualifications.
You have 5+ years of relevant SRE, systems, or software engineering experience — you've developed Internet-scale multi-user web, mobile, or cloud software products and understand the complexities involved in maintaining high availability and performance. Your applicable tertiary qualifications complement your hands-on experience, making you a strong candidate for this role.
You possess deep expertise in AWS and Linux environments — your familiarity with cloud infrastructure allows you to design and implement scalable solutions that meet the demands of a growing user base. You are proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, enabling you to manage and deploy applications efficiently.
Your programming skills in Python and Java are well-honed — you can write scripts to automate tasks and improve system reliability. You are also comfortable using Git for version control, ensuring that your code is well-managed and collaborative.
You have a solid understanding of infrastructure as code principles, particularly with tools like Terraform — this allows you to provision and manage infrastructure in a repeatable and efficient manner. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you thrive in environments where you can tackle complex challenges.
You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with software engineers, QA teams, and product managers — you understand that reliability is a shared responsibility and work closely with others to achieve common goals. You are also committed to continuous learning and improvement, always seeking out new technologies and methodologies to enhance your skill set.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus or Grafana would be a plus — these tools help you maintain visibility into system performance and quickly respond to incidents. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices will also be beneficial in this role, as you will be involved in automating deployment processes.
In your role as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Pushpay, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our SaaS applications — you will design and implement robust monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users. You will collaborate with development teams to establish best practices for system architecture and deployment, ensuring that our applications are built with reliability in mind.
You will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging your expertise to scale resources according to demand — this includes configuring load balancers, auto-scaling groups, and other cloud services to maintain high availability. Your role will also involve troubleshooting complex production issues, where your analytical skills will be crucial in diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
You will contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools that enhance operational efficiency — this may involve writing Python scripts to automate routine tasks or using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code. You will also participate in incident response activities, leading post-mortem analyses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
As part of a hybrid work model, you will have the flexibility to work from home two days a week, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to a collaborative team environment. You will also have access to a $3,000 annual training allowance to support your professional development, ensuring that you stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
At Pushpay, we prioritize the well-being of our employees and offer a range of benefits to support you both personally and professionally. Our family-oriented policies include generous parental leave and volunteer time off, allowing you to give back to causes that matter to you. We also provide unlimited snacks, drinks, and coffee to keep you energized throughout the day.
You will be part of a vibrant company culture that values collaboration and innovation — we host fun social events throughout the year, including a Friday in-office happy hour to foster team bonding. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to support your mental health and well-being, ensuring that you have access to resources when you need them.
Join us at Pushpay and be part of a team that is dedicated to helping organizations and communities connect through our suite of mobile apps and management software. Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping the future of our technology and the impact it has on our users.
