Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline, such as Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Physics, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 3 years of experience in management consulting or equivalent business strategy roles, you bring a strong analytical mindset and a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives. Your experience in analytics equips you to handle complex data and derive actionable insights.

You possess preferred qualifications that include experience with financial modeling, SQL, and data visualization. Your background in the tech or media industries gives you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within these sectors. You excel in communicating and influencing a diverse range of audiences, including executives, and you have the ability to impact large-scale strategic initiatives with exceptional business judgment.

Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your investigative nature and strong presentation abilities. You thrive in environments where you can cultivate relationships across teams and influence cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives. You embody a learning mentality and an ownership mindset, which aligns with the culture of the YouTube Strategy, Analytics, and Finance team.

Desirable

Experience in navigating the rise of generative AI and short-form video, as well as analyzing new business opportunities like shopping and subscription growth, would be advantageous. Your ability to manage the health of the creator and partner ecosystem is also a plus.

What you'll do

As a Strategy Associate, you will drive initiatives within the YouTube Strategy, Analytics, and Finance team, which operates similarly to an internal management consulting team. You will lead high-impact projects commissioned directly by YouTube’s executive leadership, focusing on identifying and steering the business towards significant opportunities. Your role will involve analyzing trends and challenges, such as the rise of generative AI and short-form video, and making recommendations that guide the organization’s strategic direction.

You will articulate information through compelling verbal and written reports, tailoring your presentations to various audiences across different management levels and functions. Cultivating relationships with teams will be essential as you influence cross-functional efforts to achieve shared objectives. You will advocate for a culture of learning and ownership, contributing to a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork.
