Overview

Handshake is seeking Atmospheric, Earth, Marine, and Space Sciences Teachers to contribute to an AI research project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models in your field. No AI experience is required.

Job Description

Who you are

You have at least 4 years of professional experience in atmospheric, earth, marine, or space sciences. Your background includes delivering lectures and supervising laboratory and field work, while maintaining student records and evaluating academic performance. You are comfortable working independently and can provide structured feedback to enhance AI models based on your expertise. You are open to learning new skills and contributing to the development of AI in your field.

Desirable

Experience in research and a strong understanding of the practical applications of your field will be beneficial. Familiarity with AI concepts, while not required, will help you engage more effectively in the project. You are adaptable and can work asynchronously, managing your time to fit the flexible hours of the project.

What you'll do

In this role, you will evaluate AI models by developing prompts that reflect your field of expertise. You will assess the responses generated by these models and provide clear, structured feedback to improve their understanding of workplace tasks and language. Your contributions will help shape how AI is utilized in your discipline, making your insights invaluable to the project. You will work independently, with the opportunity to engage in various projects as they become available throughout the year.
