Overview

Databricks is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales in the Retail and Travel & Hospitality sectors. You'll engage with Fortune 500 companies and leverage your sales expertise to close new accounts. This role requires 5+ years of direct sales experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of direct sales experience, ideally with a focus on enterprise-level accounts. Your background includes working with Fortune 500 companies, particularly in the Retail and Travel & Hospitality sectors. You possess a strong ability to penetrate accounts quickly and demonstrate value to customers, which is crucial for success in this role. You are comfortable engaging with C-Level executives and practitioners alike, showcasing your ability to communicate effectively across various levels of an organization. Your approach to sales is creative and execution-oriented, allowing you to compress decision cycles and close net new logos efficiently. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven by exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.

Desirable

Experience in selling data solutions or analytics platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with the challenges faced by retail and travel companies in their data strategies. A proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and a strong network within the industry will set you apart. You are adaptable and open to learning, always looking for ways to improve your sales techniques and strategies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for selling Databricks' solutions to leading Fortune 500 Retail and Travel & Hospitality accounts. You will allocate resources effectively to break into new accounts and grow existing relationships, ensuring that you maximize the market opportunity available. Regular meetings with C-Level executives will be part of your routine, where you will demonstrate how Databricks can significantly impact their business outcomes. You will communicate account strategies to Databricks Senior Leadership, providing insights and updates on your progress. Your creative, fail-fast approach to prospecting and selling will be essential as you work to build a plan for success both internally and externally with your accounts. You will also have the opportunity to earn accelerators above 100% quota accomplishment, making this a rewarding position for high achievers.
