Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Spaceport Engineer for Spaceport Integration to coordinate development projects at Cape Canaveral. You'll work closely with internal and external teams to ensure high-quality designs for launch pad systems. This role requires experience in project management and technical coordination.

Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering, with experience in coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. You understand the importance of regulatory compliance and have a keen eye for detail to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of safety and quality. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams makes you an ideal candidate for this role. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are adept at managing timelines and deliverables to meet project goals. You are familiar with the intricacies of spaceport operations and have a passion for contributing to the future of space exploration.

Desirable

Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus, as is familiarity with the regulatory landscape surrounding space operations. You may also have a background in civil or aerospace engineering, which would further enhance your ability to contribute to the team.

What you'll do

As a Spaceport Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating spaceport development projects at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center. This involves working closely with various internal technical groups and external architects to ensure that all designs are compliant with safety and construction standards. You will manage third-party reviews of facility designs and track construction approvals, ensuring that all projects are executed on schedule. Your role will require you to interface with the Spaceport Authority, providing updates and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. You will also collaborate with cross-departmental teams to define project requirements and deliverables, making sure that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
