Overview

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, and operational objectives at their Fulfillment Center in Jefferson, Georgia. This role involves leading a team, driving quality initiatives, and ensuring performance objectives are met.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in operations management, ideally with a focus on fulfillment or logistics. Your background includes managing teams and driving performance through effective coaching and mentoring. You understand the importance of building positive employee relations and fostering leadership within your team. You are adept at implementing quality initiatives and process improvements, ensuring that operational objectives align with business goals. You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to measure performance effectively and provide actionable feedback to your team. You are committed to safety and quality, ensuring that both inbound and outbound operations meet high standards.

Desirable

Experience with Lean methodologies and a track record of successful project management will set you apart. Familiarity with budget management and resource allocation is also beneficial. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working closely with support staff across various functions, including HR, Finance, and IT. Your ability to share best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives will contribute significantly to the success of the Fulfillment Center.

What you'll do

As a Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable for their performance. Your role will involve driving the creation of quality initiatives and process change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. You will work closely with your team to develop improvement plans and ensure that best practices are shared across departments. Additionally, you will collaborate with support staff to secure resources for projects and initiatives, ensuring that your team has the necessary support to succeed. You will also play a key role in building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center, coaching and mentoring your team to achieve their full potential.

What we offer

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $135,000.00 - $182,700.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
