Staff Software Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering with expertise in at least one interpreted language such as Python or Ruby on Rails, and hands-on experience with a compiled language like C++, Kotlin, or Java. You understand relational databases and have experience working with data models, authentication, and billing systems. What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Fivetran, you will play a crucial role in the Reverse ETL product engineering team. You will be responsible for integrating data activation capabilities into the Fivetran product, ensuring that our customers can easily access and utilize their data. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features that enhance the user experience and drive customer satisfaction.

You will lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring that the solutions we build are scalable and maintainable. Your expertise will guide the team in best practices for coding, testing, and deployment, helping to maintain high standards of quality across the codebase. You will also mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support as they grow in their roles.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to ensure that the team is aligned and focused on delivering value to our customers.
