Amazon Freight Europe is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Senior Finance Analyst to join the Finance Strategy & Expansion team to externalise the freight business, designing and delivering a world class freight experience for our customers. We are continuously innovating on behalf of Amazon customers to deliver larger selection quicker and at lower prices. The role will require quickly learning operations to grasp the big picture in order to develop financial metrics. As part of this you will need to communicate clearly and succinctly with business leaders to influence decisions with data, working across Europe and North America you will partner closely with Product, Program, Operations, and Commercial leaders to define the expansion strategy, proactively solving the challenges and opportunities that this creates.
In this impactful role, you will lead the long-term financial planning of Amazon Freight, collaborating with business stakeholders to shape strategies and investments for success. Your responsibilities will involve evaluating the merits of each investment, expansion initiative, and product offering to optimise profitability. Your insights and analyses will directly influence senior management decisions, guiding our path towards sustainable growth as we continue to rapidly scale.

- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes- MBA, or CPA
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
