The Exploration Company is seeking a Technician CAO to contribute to the design of tooling and ground support equipment for their modular space vehicle, Nyx. You'll work with AutoCAD to create detailed models and technical plans. This role requires over 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
You have over 2 years of experience as a Technician CAO, ideally in the aerospace, automotive, motorsport, or industrial environments. Your expertise includes designing and maintaining detailed CAD models and technical plans for mechanical tooling, fixtures, and test benches. You are skilled in preparing detailed manufacturing plans and bills of materials (BOM) to support the procurement and fabrication of designed equipment. You have a strong understanding of configuration management and ensure that CAD models are rigorously maintained and accurate. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with AIT engineers, technicians, and industrial partners to ensure that all equipment is fit for purpose, manufacturable, and aligned with operational needs. You are proactive in troubleshooting and analyzing anomalies, maintaining documentation, and participating in design reviews to contribute to continuous improvement.
In this role, you will design and maintain detailed CAD models and technical plans for mechanical tooling, fixtures, and test benches essential for the propulsion systems of Nyx. You will support the procurement and manufacturing of designed equipment by preparing detailed manufacturing plans and BOMs. You will participate in the commissioning of test benches, ensuring that all equipment meets operational requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to guarantee that all equipment is suitable for its intended use and manufacturable. You will provide support in troubleshooting and analyzing anomalies, maintaining thorough documentation, and participating in design reviews to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and products.
