SpaceX is hiring an Integration Technician for the Starshield project to handle hardware assembly, integration, and testing of satellite systems. This role requires mechanical assembly and avionics integration skills, along with hands-on experience in hardware installation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1+ years of experience with structures, avionics, propulsion, or automotive hardware installation. You may also hold a certificate from an accredited trade school or program. Your background includes hands-on operations with both large and small mechanical assemblies, showcasing your ability to work with precision calibrated tools including automated and manual torque wrenches. You are comfortable using various mechanical tools without instruction and have a keen eye for detail to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with production engineers to develop and document activities while ensuring all production services are performed on time and safely. You are proactive in troubleshooting hardware issues in real-time and providing feedback to eliminate repeat issues.

What you'll do

As an Integration Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for staging, setting up, assembling, testing, and installing flight hardware for the Starshield project. Your role will involve using various mechanical tools and precision calibrated tools to perform mechanical assembly and avionics integration tasks. You will perform work according to established procedures, specifications, and test instructions, ensuring that all activities are documented accurately. Collaboration with production engineers will be key as you develop and document activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the work environment. You will also support troubleshooting of hardware issues in real-time, providing valuable feedback to improve processes and prevent future issues.
