Desirable

Experience in the automotive industry or a similar fast-paced environment would be a plus. Familiarity with cloud security practices and frameworks is also desirable, as is a background in risk management and compliance. You may have certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar, which demonstrate your commitment to the field of information security.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Security and IT teams at CarGurus, reporting directly to the CTO. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive security strategy that protects the organization’s assets and data. This includes overseeing the implementation of security measures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities and implement solutions that enhance the overall security posture of the organization. You will also be involved in strategic planning, helping to shape the future direction of IT initiatives that support business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in mentoring team members and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
