Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Senior Supply Chain Planner to enable production flow and support launch manifest for the Falcon and Dragon programs. You'll work closely with engineering and manufacturing departments to execute effective supply chain strategies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in material requirements planning and purchasing. Your ability to coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams allows you to effectively manage production flow and mitigate risks associated with supply shortages. You are detail-oriented and skilled in maintaining accurate configurations of assemblies, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized for production success.

You possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to conduct risk management analyses and make informed decisions regarding sourcing strategies. Your experience includes facilitating technical discussions and conducting should-cost modeling to ensure optimal purchase order issuance. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at tracking metrics to measure the success of supply chain initiatives.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industries is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced supply chain software tools. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate complex supply chain concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

What you'll do

As a Senior Supply Chain Planner at SpaceX, you will play a critical role in enabling production flow for the Falcon and Dragon programs. You will plan, lead, and execute against established sourcing strategies, ensuring that all metrics are tracked and results are analyzed from an end-to-end perspective. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate configurations of assemblies and ensuring that lead times and inventory levels are managed effectively to prevent production delays.

You will facilitate technical discussions and make informed decisions regarding make vs. buy scenarios, as well as launch new product introductions. Your role will require you to conduct risk management analyses to identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure that all supply chain activities align with production goals.
