Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Integration & Test Engineer for the Falcon 9 project to oversee assembly and testing processes. You'll work with Embedded Linux, Python, and C/C++ to develop integration and test processes. This role requires a strong background in engineering and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a background in engineering with experience in integration and testing processes — you've worked on complex hardware systems and understand the intricacies of assembly and testing in a production environment. Your knowledge of Embedded Linux, Python, and C/C++ allows you to develop and refine processes that ensure the reliability and performance of spaceflight systems. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with design engineers to guide new designs from concept to production-capable systems. Your problem-solving skills enable you to evaluate designs for manufacturability and test requirements, implementing improvements in a rapidly evolving environment.

Desirable

Experience with aerospace systems or similar high-stakes environments is a plus — you understand the importance of precision and reliability in the context of space technology. Familiarity with test automation tools and methodologies will enhance your ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

What you'll do

As an Integration & Test Engineer at SpaceX, you will oversee the assembly and testing processes for Falcon and Falcon Heavy launch vehicle assemblies. This includes working on critical components such as Stage 1, Stage 2, Merlin engines, and various subassemblies. You will collaborate with design engineers to ensure that new designs meet the necessary specifications for production and flight readiness. Your role will involve developing, qualifying, and refining manufacturing, assembly, and test processes to bring innovative solutions to life. You will take a lead role in integrating new technologies and processes into existing systems, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together.

You will also be responsible for documenting test procedures and results, providing valuable feedback to the engineering teams to inform future designs. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SpaceX's missions, as you help to ensure that every launch vehicle is built to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to new challenges and continuously improving processes to meet the demands of space exploration.

What we offer

At SpaceX, you will be part of a mission-driven team that is pushing the boundaries of space technology. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, contributing to projects that have a meaningful impact on humanity's future in space. Join us in our quest to make life multi-planetary and be part of a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
