Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Manager for the Starlink project to lead a team in maintaining plant utilities and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires expertise in managing mechanical and electrical systems.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in facilities management, with experience leading teams responsible for the maintenance and operation of complex systems. Your expertise includes preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as troubleshooting various plant utilities. You understand the importance of creating standardized KPI metrics to drive organizational excellence and ensure accountability at all levels.

You are skilled in managing mechanical systems such as FCUs, AHUs, compressed air, and chilled water systems. Additionally, you have experience with electrical systems, including transformers and distribution networks. Your ability to oversee general building maintenance ensures that all facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.

You possess excellent leadership qualities, enabling you to guide a highly skilled technician and engineering team effectively. You are committed to fostering a collaborative environment where team members can thrive and contribute to the success of the Starlink project.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or telecommunications industry is a plus, as is familiarity with satellite systems and broadband technologies. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance operational performance.

What you'll do

As the Facilities Manager for Starlink, you will lead a team responsible for the execution of maintenance tasks across various plant utilities. Your role will involve overseeing the maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak efficiency. You will also be responsible for managing spare part control and general troubleshooting, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
