Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience, demonstrating your ability to handle a variety of automotive issues with confidence and expertise. Your background includes extensive repairs and heavy engine work, showcasing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment. You are familiar with advanced vehicle diagnostics and can tackle complex electrical issues, ensuring that vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Your experience includes working on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles, which highlights your versatility and adaptability in the automotive field.

You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, and you appreciate the value of using state-of-the-art tools in your work. You understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration, and you thrive in an environment where you can share knowledge and learn from others. Desirable

While not required, having ASE certifications would be a plus, as it demonstrates your commitment to professional development and excellence in the automotive industry. Additionally, familiarity with vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems would enhance your ability to perform a wider range of repairs.

What you'll do

As a Heavy Line Auto Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive repairs and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles. Your day-to-day tasks will include repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues, installing and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems, and conducting thorough vehicle diagnostics. You will work on both traditional and modern vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, ensuring that you stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

You will utilize state-of-the-art tools in one of our high-tech Inspection Centers, allowing you to perform your work efficiently and effectively. Your role will involve collaborating with other technicians and team members to ensure that all repairs are completed to the highest standards. You will also have the opportunity to mentor entry-level technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
