Key job responsibilities
Your team members, Sr. SDEs and managers will support you in your onboarding to operating a service at AWS, and will genuinely be happy to jump in and help.
We are looking for a software engineer to drive feature development for Amazon Location Service. You will take the lead on end to end full stack design, development of our new services. You will deliver a best in class customer experience and operate the service to the highest standards.
We seek candidates with Business Intelligence engineering experience to leverage proven skills in data analysis, visualization, and insights generation.
We seek candidate who will be part of an on-call rotation, typically for one week every three months.
A day in the life
Start your day, grab a coffee (or tea), say hi to your team, participate in the daily standup, participate in a design review meeting, have a one-on-one with one of your engineers, work on your team's roadmap, guide the operational review meeting to monitor the health of the service.

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Business Intelligence or data engineering experience to leverage proven skills in data analysis, visualization, and insights generation.- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
