Job Description

Are you a seasoned UX Designer, passionate about new technologies, AI, driving change through data, and using customer obsessed design processes to create innovative tools?

The Advertiser User Experience team is looking for a thoughtful and passionate UX Designer who specializes in simplifying complex workflows into streamlined enterprise solutions. We want a designer who can leverage design systems and artificial intelligence to reimagine how advertisers understand and create advertising campaigns.

We are a diverse team building innovative tools and systems that simplify advertising analytics through intelligent visualization solutions. Our mission is to transform overwhelming campaign data into clear, actionable insights that drive advertiser success. Our group functions as a start-up within Amazon, offering a creative, fast-paced environment where you'll apply advanced visualization techniques to solve a variety of advertiser needs.

You will collaborate across disciplines, from initial concept development through implementation, working closely with product management, data scientists, AI specialists, UX writers, user researchers, and engineering teams. Your expertise in visualizing complex data will be crucial as you tackle our most challenging advertising analytics problems, creating solutions that scale effectively across diverse advertiser needs.

In this fast-evolving space, you'll need to balance analytical thinking with creative problem-solving, transforming technical complexity into intuitive user experiences. You must be comfortable with ambiguity, able to navigate evolving AI capabilities, and skilled at systems thinking. Your work will directly influence how advertisers interpret and act on their advertising performance data, ultimately driving innovation in how Amazon's advertising ecosystem delivers value.

The ideal candidate brings strong interaction design expertise, experience designing for complex information systems, and enthusiasm for exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance user experiences.

Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate and work closely with product management, engineering, and research from design concept to design solution, setting UX guidelines and driving cross-team collaboration and sharing, as well as establish best practices for interaction models and user interface designs throughout the team.

* Work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged and design acumen is demonstrated through design end-to-end product ownership.

* Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization through excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.

* Earn trust with product managers to develop shared vision and use research and data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.

The Demand Tech UX team envisions and delivers intuitive, intelligent experiences that enable advertisers of all sizes to achieve their business goals effortlessly. As the strategic design center for Amazon Ads, we transform complexity into clarity through customer obsession, data-driven decisions, and intentional craftsmanship. We drive platform excellence by unifying experiences, accelerating innovation, and fostering cross-organizational collaboration. Our commitment to swift, thoughtful execution and continuous refinement ensures we create scalable solutions that set new standards for advertising excellence while delivering consistent value to our advertisers.- 3+ years of design experience
- 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)- 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
