Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support the operations of critical infrastructure systems in their data centers. You'll monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, ensuring reliability and availability. This position requires a foundational understanding of AWS and related technologies.

Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is a plus, but not required. A passion for technology and a willingness to learn will set you apart. You are comfortable with technical writing and documentation, which will support the change management program in your role.
As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our data centers maintain 24/7 reliability and availability. You will monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), assisting in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
You will also be responsible for performing rack installs and decommissioning, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the established SLAs. Your technical skills will be put to use as you perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. You will engage in technical writing to support the change management program, documenting processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
