Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Mexico (MX) is a high-powered, dynamic team. This team shapes the middle-mile transportation execution and develops innovative transportation management concepts. The ATS MX Transportation Operation Management (TOM) team is looking for an Area Manager with a strong delivery record, proven ability to drive process improvement, people management experience, and ability to motivate reporting team members to meet the challenges of an on-time driven environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with transportation execution.
- Plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for Amazon and non-Amazon workers.
- Audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental regulations
- Meet and exceed operational goals.
- Own area performance metrics and communicate them to TOM and site leadership

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

- Speak, write, and read fluently in English- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
