Overview

Allica Bank is seeking a Technical Incident Lead to enhance operational resilience and manage incident responses. You'll coordinate engineering teams and ensure swift service restoration. This role requires hands-on technical experience and leadership skills.

Who you are

You are a highly technical and proactive individual with a strong background in incident management. You have experience acting as an incident commander during technical incidents, driving fast diagnosis, and coordinating engineering teams to restore services quickly and safely. Your hands-on technical experience gives you the credibility to challenge engineering decisions during live incidents, and you have a keen ability to spot patterns that support root cause analysis and long-term fixes. You thrive in high-pressure environments and are committed to maintaining operational resilience within the organization.

You understand the importance of collaboration and integrity in a team setting, and you are dedicated to fostering a culture that aligns with Allica's values. You are comfortable working UK business hours and are adaptable to flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Desirable

Experience in the fintech sector or a similar fast-paced environment would be advantageous. Familiarity with incident management tools and methodologies is a plus, as is a background in software engineering or systems administration. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading incident response efforts across the bank. You will act as the primary point of contact during technical incidents, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and that the incident is managed effectively. Your role will involve coordinating with various engineering teams to diagnose issues quickly and implement solutions that restore service. You will also be tasked with analyzing incidents post-resolution to identify patterns and root causes, contributing to the development of long-term fixes and improvements in incident management processes.

You will work closely with other technical leads and departments to ensure that incident response protocols are followed and that the team is prepared for any potential incidents. Your leadership will help to raise the bar for incident response across the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will also participate in training and mentoring team members, sharing your expertise and helping to build a strong incident management capability within the bank.
