Datadog is seeking a Lead Sales Manager to oversee the Commercial Account Executives team, focusing on strategy, mentoring, and driving sales performance. This role requires experience in high-tech direct sales and a strong understanding of SaaS/cloud environments.
You have a proven track record in high-tech direct sales, ideally with experience in SaaS or cloud environments. Your understanding of Salesforce is strong, allowing you to leverage its capabilities to enhance team performance. You are passionate about coaching and mentoring, helping your team members grow and achieve their goals. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are motivated by the challenge of exceeding sales targets. Your ability to accurately forecast team performance is exceptional, and you are driven by a desire for continuous learning and personal growth. You have experience managing outbound sales teams through all stages of the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
In this role, you will lead the Commercial Account Executives team, providing strategic direction and mentorship to ensure they exceed their targets. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate forecasts, hiring, managing, and training account executives. You will set high activity standards and manage the sales pipeline effectively. Supporting new team members to adapt quickly and succeed will be a key part of your role, as will monitoring the sales process from potential leads to contract closure. You will establish metrics for performance improvement and ensure your team is motivated and engaged.
