Confluent is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for their Product Security team to design and implement high-impact security features. You'll work with technologies like Java, OAuth, and RBAC to enhance Confluent Cloud's security posture. This role requires strong collaboration skills and experience in security functionalities.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building secure applications and systems. Your expertise includes designing and implementing security features that protect user data and ensure compliance with industry standards. You are familiar with identity and access management and have hands-on experience with authentication and authorization methods such as OAuth, mTLS, RBAC, and ABAC. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You are a problem solver who can troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis effectively. You understand the importance of security in product development and are committed to enhancing the security posture of the products you work on.
Experience with cloud platforms and security best practices is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices will help you succeed in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving security challenges in the tech landscape.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Product Security team, you will independently drive the execution of security projects and deploy them to production with a focus on quality and customer impact. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and InfoSec teams to design and implement scalable security solutions that enhance the user experience while maintaining robust security measures. Your role will involve troubleshooting security issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing improvements based on your findings. You will also contribute to the development of security features for Confluent Cloud, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of security and usability. You will participate in code reviews and provide feedback to your peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Your contributions will directly impact the security posture of Confluent Cloud and help ensure a seamless experience for our customers.
