AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

A day in the life
We are seeking a new member to join the System Software team and contribute to a variety of projects and related activities:
- Work in a Linux-based environment
- Build and maintain Linux images integrated with testing software solutions
- Design and develop automation infrastructure for executing hardware tests
- Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) as part of software solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from design to deployment and maintenance- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience with strong programming capabilities.
- Experience contributing to system architecture and design.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of comprehensive software engineering practices across development lifecycle.- Hands-on experience with Python programming
- Advanced Bash scripting skills
- Expertise in object-oriented programming principles
- Deep understanding of Linux system architecture
- Experience with test automation frameworks
