Overview

Google is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to enhance product quality in electronic product manufacturing. You'll leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering and quality processes to support cross-functional teams. This role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree, and ideally an MBA/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. With at least 2 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Specialist in electronic product manufacturing, you understand the nuances of mechanical and industrial engineering. You are familiar with enabling the transition of new products into high-volume production and have experience with mechanical manufacturing processes. Your background includes product quality process development and best practices, particularly in mobile or consumer electronics manufacturing. You are skilled in cosmetic inspection methods, measurement fixture design, and measurement correlation. You have implemented quality escalation processes and ongoing product improvements with contract manufacturing partners. Your ability to actively participate in complex technical discussions in English or Mandarin sets you apart.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product quality improvements. You will utilize statistical process control and yield studies to validate process capability and establish reasonable specifications. Your collaboration with Tooling and Manufacturing process engineers will be crucial in driving process improvements. You will also work with Reliability Engineering to set up ongoing reliability test plans for manufacturing processes. Your contributions will help shape the next generation of hardware experiences at Google, ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. You will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration in Google's hardware offerings.
