Senior Data Analyst

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong focus on analyzing complex datasets and deriving actionable insights. You are proficient in SQL and have experience with data visualization tools like Looker. Your analytical mindset allows you to untangle messy datasets and turn them into clear, understandable metrics that drive business decisions. You thrive in collaborative environments, building trusted relationships with engineering and product teams to ensure data-driven decision-making. You are familiar with data pipeline management and understand the importance of maintaining data integrity and accuracy. You are passionate about shaping a data culture within your organization and are always looking for ways to improve processes and best practices.

Desirable

Experience with dbt or similar tools is a plus, as is familiarity with project management tools like Jira. You have a background in engineering performance analysis and are comfortable working with logs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and own core Engineering metrics that reflect product and team performance. You will lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that require collaboration with various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include analyzing engineering performance data to drive efficiency and reliability, as well as developing insights that inform strategic decisions. You will maintain key data pipelines, ensuring that data is accurate and readily available for analysis. You will also contribute to the development of best practices for data analysis and reporting, helping to shape the team's data culture. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team, making you a key player in Fivetran's mission to simplify access to data.
