You are an experienced tax professional with a strong background in federal, state, and local tax compliance. With at least 5 years of experience in tax accounting, you have a deep understanding of tax regulations and reporting requirements. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a growing team. Your analytical skills allow you to navigate complex tax issues effectively, and you are comfortable preparing workpapers and conducting tax research. You are detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, ensuring that all tax-related tasks are completed accurately and on time. You are also adaptable and open to learning about various tax topics as they arise in a dynamic work environment.
As a Senior Tax Accountant at Smartsheet, you will play a key role in managing the company's global tax operations. You will assist in preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will include supporting workpapers for tax returns and quarterly estimated payments, as well as performing tax research to address federal, state, and local tax issues. You will prepare account reconciliations and journal entries related to tax matters, contributing to the accuracy of financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Tax and other team members to navigate complex filing cycles and ensure timely submissions. Your expertise will help shape Smartsheet's global tax strategy, and you will gain exposure to a variety of challenging tax technical topics.
