Amazon Worldwide Grocery Store Technology (WWGST) is looking for a passionate and innovative Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Engineering Back Office Services and Support Workday Team. This team will be deployed against some of our most complex and challenging projects and will deliver innovative technical solutions. We have an opportunity to revolutionize online shopping and set new standards for accessing the highest quality organic and natural groceries online.
As the TPM II, you will be a key member of technology and will need to drive forward the technology across WWGST to create a best-in-class online grocery shopping experience.
We are looking for an individual with strong business and technical skills, great communication abilities, and a passion to use new science and technologies to help WWGST.
In the TPM II role, you will be responsible for delivering large projects end-to-end that span multiple technology and operational teams. These projects will include initiatives such as rolling out new technology to new geographies as we expand, creating new technology to support new businesses and use cases and building great technology platforms that can scale.
You will lead and coordinate design and implementation efforts across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, and responsibilities.

This role is inherently cross-functional—this leader will work closely with engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities and enhance our existing products and features. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
