Who you are

You have a strong background in finance operations, ideally with experience in trade accounting or related fields. You understand the complexities of post-trade activities and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all reconciliations and financial records are accurate and timely. Your proactive approach allows you to identify potential issues before they arise, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with various stakeholders.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to liaise effectively with counterparties, fund administrators, and investment managers. You are comfortable working with financial data and have a solid understanding of cash and P&L management. Your analytical mindset helps you to interpret complex financial information and make informed decisions that benefit the organization.

Desirable

Experience with hedge funds or similar financial institutions is a plus. Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting tools will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A background in data analysis or financial modeling can also be advantageous as you navigate the intricacies of trade accounting.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Trade Accounting and Operations group, ensuring that all post-trade activities are executed efficiently and accurately. You will oversee daily street reconciliations, settlements, and P/L reconciliations, ensuring that all financial records reflect the true state of the organization’s positions and cash flow. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of financial data and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will collaborate closely with various teams, including operations, compliance, and finance, to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. Your ability to analyze and interpret financial data will be key in identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices across the organization.

You will also be responsible for preparing reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into the performance of the Trade Accounting and Operations group. Your contributions will directly impact the organization’s ability to manage risk and capitalize on new business opportunities.
