Overview

Amazon is hiring a Data Center Operations Technician to support AWS infrastructure services. You'll be responsible for hardware troubleshooting and repairs, working closely with cross-functional teams. This role requires proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Who you are

You are a motivated individual with a strong interest in technology and data center operations. You have a foundational understanding of hardware troubleshooting and are eager to learn more about server and network management. Proficiency in both Spanish and English is essential as you will interact with stakeholders across EMEA. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and security in your work.

You have experience or knowledge in working with server hardware, including performing repairs on drives and motherboards. Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of meeting service level agreements (SLAs) in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Experience with AWS services or cloud infrastructure is a plus, as is familiarity with Linux operating systems. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your performance in the role. A background in networking concepts will also be beneficial as you engage with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be the first line of support for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues. You will work diligently to meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include performing regular server hardware repairs, such as replacing drives and motherboards, and carrying out routine network and OS-related repairs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete routine work and engage with Smart Hands in EU Regional Points of Presence (POPs). Your role will require you to adhere to security protocols and maintain a safe working environment. You will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and specialists in various fields, enhancing your skills and knowledge in data center operations.
