Overview

Databricks is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to enhance partnerships with Financial Services customers. You'll focus on delivering value through professional services and training engagements. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strategic mindset.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in managing customer engagements, particularly within the Financial Services sector. Your experience allows you to establish strong partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the engagement. You excel in understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable plans that drive value from the Databricks platform.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product Teams. Your ability to engage with clients and understand their requirements is key to your success in this role. You are adept at identifying opportunities for new services and can articulate the business value of upselling or extending services.

Your background includes experience in estimating, scoping, and developing statements of work documents. You are comfortable consulting with clients to define engagement scope, requirements, time, cost, and benefits. You thrive in a strategic role that requires cross-functional collaboration and a focus on delivering excellence at every stage of the customer journey.

Desirable

Experience in professional services or training engagements is a plus. Familiarity with the Databricks platform or similar technologies will enhance your ability to drive customer success. You are proactive in seeking out new opportunities and have a strong understanding of the financial services landscape.

What you'll do

As a Senior Engagement Manager at Databricks, you will lead the charge in establishing deeper partnerships with Financial Services customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customers derive maximum value from the Databricks platform. You will orchestrate engagements from vision to delivery, ensuring that customer satisfaction expectations are not only met but exceeded.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for new services and engage early in the sales process to understand customer needs. Your role will involve consulting with clients to define the scope of engagements, estimating project timelines, and developing comprehensive statements of work.

You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding Professional Services and Training bookings and revenue targets. This will require you to maintain a strategic focus on customer engagement and satisfaction, ensuring that all interactions are aligned with the overall goals of the organization.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will partner with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product Teams to deliver exceptional service. You will also be tasked with following up on engagements to ensure that customers are making the most of their investments in Databricks.
