Together AI is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate their data platform. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining AWS infrastructure and collaborating with data engineering teams. This role requires expertise in AWS and Terraform.
You have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, particularly with AWS, and are comfortable managing cloud-based systems. You understand the importance of building reliable and secure infrastructure that supports data engineering needs. Your experience with Terraform allows you to create reproducible and well-documented infrastructure modules that enhance team efficiency. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with data engineering teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and provide effective solutions. You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to implementing best practices around IAM and network design to ensure security and compliance. You thrive in a hands-on role where you can take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data lake architectures. You are proactive in monitoring infrastructure health and costs, and you have a passion for building internal tooling that supports self-service infrastructure provisioning. In this role, you will own the design, implementation, and operation of all AWS-based infrastructure supporting data systems at Together AI. You will build and maintain reproducible Terraform infrastructure modules that enable data engineering teams to move faster and more efficiently. Collaborating with multiple teams, you will understand their infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their workflows. You will implement and maintain IAM policies and Lake Formation permissions in partnership with the security engineering team, ensuring that best practices are followed. Your responsibilities will also include building internal tooling and automation to support self-service infrastructure provisioning, which will empower teams to manage their own resources effectively. Monitoring infrastructure health and costs will be a key part of your role, allowing you to drive improvements and optimize resource usage. You will be expected to stay hands-on with the technology, ensuring that the infrastructure you build is reliable, scalable, and easy to use.
