Affirm is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability of their cloud infrastructure. You'll work with Kubernetes and automation tools to support Affirm's engineering teams. This role requires strong cloud engineering skills and experience in operational excellence.
You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or cloud engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in Kubernetes is complemented by a solid understanding of automation practices that enhance operational efficiency. You thrive in remote work environments and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive technical initiatives that impact the entire organization.
You are proactive and detail-oriented, with a passion for improving observability and reliability within cloud environments. Your experience includes implementing best practices for infrastructure management and automation, ensuring that systems are robust and resilient. You have a strong background in troubleshooting complex issues and are comfortable working with various cloud technologies.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tools is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can further enhance the reliability of Affirm's infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing the technical strategy for the Cloud Compute team, focusing on enhancing the reliability and scalability of Affirm's cloud infrastructure. Your work will involve automating operational workflows and enhancing observability capabilities to ensure that all systems are running smoothly.
You will play a key role in driving initiatives that fortify the reliability of critical infrastructure, working closely with other teams to ensure seamless deployment of innovative solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the stability and efficiency of Affirm's engineering organization, allowing teams to build and deploy applications with confidence.
You will also participate in incident management and response, helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. Your expertise will guide the team in adopting best practices for cloud operations, ensuring that Affirm's infrastructure remains reliable and efficient.
