Neuralink is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the design and production of hardware solutions for brain-computer interface devices. You'll work with technologies like AutoCAD and SolidWorks in Austin or Fremont.
You are a motivated individual pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting. You have a foundational understanding of mechanical design principles and are familiar with tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Neuralink, you will support the design, build, and testing of mechanical systems for our brain-computer interface devices. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, contributing to the development of components for surgical robotics, automation, and microfabrication. Your responsibilities will include designing and validating systems for the implant and related hardware components, as well as developing and improving manufacturing processes to support in-house production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Electrical Engineering, and Surgery Engineering, to define system requirements and ensure successful project outcomes. You will also scope, design, and iterate custom tooling and fixturing required for the implant assembly line, gaining hands-on experience in a cutting-edge field.
