Amazon is hiring a Software Dev Engineer for the Amazon Leo for Government team to design and build foundational software for secure satellite communications. You'll work with Rust and collaborate with various teams to deliver high-performance solutions for U.S. Government customers.
You have a strong background in software development, particularly in high-assurance and fault-tolerant systems. Your expertise in modern programming languages, especially Rust, allows you to tackle complex challenges in secure satellite communications effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with hardware, security, systems, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions tailored for government customers. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining foundational software that supports Amazon Leo's mission to deliver reliable internet connectivity. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the capabilities of U.S. Government customers, including NASA and the Department of Defense.

This includes engaging in discussions with hardware and security teams to ensure that the software integrates seamlessly with existing systems. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the software, ensuring it adheres to best practices in security and performance.
