Overview

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex projects in WAN Infrastructure and Capacity Planning. You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes a minimum of 3 years in network capacity planning, showcasing your ability to navigate complex technical environments. You possess excellent investigative skills that aid in making informed network planning decisions, and your organizational skills ensure that you manage network topology effectively. You are detail-oriented and can adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced planning environment, making you a valuable asset to any team. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to articulate and defend insights derived from your analyses clearly. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your role will involve communicating effectively with cross-functional partners across the company, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals. You will drive the transition to new planning pipelines and systems of record, maintaining strong relationships with internal partners throughout the process. Establishing and monitoring key business metrics will be crucial to improving planning queue efficiency and adherence to established SLAs. You will provide technical guidance to automate workflows and collaborate with partner teams to resolve obstacles in the planning process.
