What you'll do

As the Senior Software Engineering Manager at Careem, you will lead a talented team of engineers and graduates who are embarking on their journey in software engineering. You will play a critical role in shaping their learning and development through structured programs that emphasize Clean Code, SOLID principles, and scalable system architecture. Your leadership will guide the team in building the Everything App, which aims to simplify and improve the lives of millions across the Middle East.

You will be responsible for overseeing the technical development processes, ensuring that your team adheres to best practices and continuously improves their skills. You will collaborate closely with other departments to align engineering efforts with business goals, driving innovation and efficiency in product development. Your role will also involve mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating career development discussions to help your engineers reach their full potential.

In addition to technical leadership, you will be an advocate for a culture of learning and growth within the organization. You will encourage your team to explore new technologies and methodologies, fostering an environment where experimentation is welcomed and failures are seen as learning opportunities.
