HelloFresh is seeking a Weekend Buyer to manage procurement operations for food commodities, primarily focusing on produce. This full-time role requires collaboration with distribution centers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
You have experience in procurement or operations, ideally within the food industry, and understand the complexities of managing inventory and supplier relationships. You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all purchasing activities align with operational goals. Your ability to communicate effectively with various teams makes you a crucial link in the procurement process, especially during weekends when timely decisions are essential. You are comfortable working with multiple commodity categories and can adapt to the dynamic needs of the business.
Experience in food procurement or supply chain management is a plus. Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems will help you excel in this role. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams will set you apart.
In this role, you will lead weekend purchasing and inventory management across various food commodities, with a primary focus on produce. You will coordinate logistics, manage cost targets, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and warehouses. Your responsibilities will include tracking inventory levels, forecasting needs, and ensuring that all procurement activities are executed efficiently. You will serve as a vital link for weekend transitions, proactively supporting the in-week team on Fridays and Mondays to manage all necessary handoffs. You will also be involved in analyzing purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
HelloFresh offers a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $70,000 USD, along with a supportive work environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
