Datadog is seeking a Regional Manager, Sales Engineering to lead a team of Sales Engineers in Paris. You'll manage pre-sales activities and provide technical expertise to support customer engagements. This role requires strong leadership and sales skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience leading teams in a technical sales environment. Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts to customers is exceptional, and you thrive in a collaborative setting where you can mentor and develop your team. You understand the importance of building strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring that your team is well-equipped to meet customer needs. You are results-driven and have a passion for helping others succeed, which is reflected in your coaching and mentoring style.

Desirable

Experience in the tech industry, particularly with cloud-based solutions, is a plus. Familiarity with Datadog products or similar monitoring and analytics tools will give you an edge in this role. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment and can adapt to the needs of your team and customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage a team of Sales Engineers, guiding them in their efforts to qualify and close opportunities. You will take the lead in technical presentations and product demonstrations, ensuring that your team effectively communicates the value of Datadog solutions to potential customers. You will collaborate closely with the Sales Team to develop strategies that align with customer needs and drive success. Your responsibilities will include conducting performance reviews, mentoring new hires, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team. You will also work with Product Management and Support teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales activities, enhancing customer satisfaction and success.
