You have a B.S. in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related field, and bring over 5 years of industry experience, ideally in sales or technical roles. Your background equips you with the ability to analyze and interpret customer inquiries effectively, ensuring that you can design and specify appropriate equipment tailored to their needs. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product technology specialists to develop complex designs that meet customer specifications while maximizing profitability for Zeeco.

Your experience has honed your skills in proposal management, allowing you to oversee the entire process from initial customer inquiry to final proposal submission. You understand the importance of risk assessment and technical development, ensuring that all aspects of the proposal are meticulously crafted to enhance the likelihood of contract awards. You are proactive in identifying the skills and tools necessary for continuous improvement, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth.

What you'll do

As an Applications Engineer at Zeeco, you will be responsible for analyzing customer inquiries and specifications to design and specify the most suitable equipment for their applications. You will develop process designs that not only meet customer requirements but also maximize profit potential for the company. Collaborating with product technology specialists, you will tackle complex designs, ensuring that you leverage the best knowledge available for design and process guarantees.

Your role will involve traveling to customer facilities to provide site support and gather details necessary for technical reviews and proposal generation. You will assist in the technical development of customer inquiries, conducting thorough risk assessments to ensure that all proposals are comprehensive and competitive. Additionally, you will develop cost estimates in accordance with established guidelines, setting product pricing based on mark-up and commission schedules.

In this position, you will work closely with management to identify updated skills and tools needed to enhance performance and knowledge within the team. You will also take on other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the engineering team and the company as a whole.
