Overview

Google is seeking a Program Manager for Forecast Governance to drive operational process solutions and manage cross-functional projects. You'll collaborate with various teams to optimize forecasting and planning processes, requiring 5+ years of experience in program management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience developing operational process solutions. Your background includes working with cross-functional teams to drive changes effectively. You possess strong program or project management skills, having managed cross-functional or cross-team projects for at least 5 years. Your experience includes optimizing forecasting and planning processes, demonstrating your ability to operate simultaneously in both tactical and strategic modes. You excel in collaboration, working with internal stakeholders across different functions and geographies to manage change and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your analytical and structured problem-solving skills are complemented by excellent communication abilities, allowing you to lead performance review discussions and manage business priorities effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial forecasts, acting as the primary custodian of forecast data. You will manage complex metadata configurations and incorporate workdriver data while ensuring rigorous validation with Engineering teams. A significant portion of your responsibilities will involve cross-functional collaboration, where you will validate stakeholder inputs regarding new launches and PSM adjustments. You will coordinate directly with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) to lead comprehensive forecast refresh exercises. Beyond data management, you will drive process improvement by selecting spend-related training streams and partnering with Spend team points of contact to enhance spend forecasting accuracy. You will perform quarterly purchase order forecast audits, which may expand to monthly audits if bandwidth allows. Leading a forecast refresh exercise will also be part of your duties, where you will create a file outlining items requiring updates, coordinate with SDMs to implement these updates, and conduct a recap analysis of how much the forecast has changed.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that drives labor and cost optimization activities in gUP Operations for greater efficiency. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and innovation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products.
