Who you are

You have a strong background in cloud operations and experience as a systems engineer, ideally with 5+ years in the field. You understand the intricacies of high-availability systems and have a proven track record of delivering scalable services. Your expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, and Lambda, positions you well to contribute to the European Sovereign Cloud initiative. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with global teams to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. You are committed to customer satisfaction and innovation, always looking for ways to improve service delivery.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025, working closely with AWS teams worldwide. You will play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with technology leaders to enhance day-to-day operations, ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC. You will influence the evolution of AWS services and technology, ensuring that they meet the needs of EU customers. You will also be responsible for monitoring service performance and implementing strategies to optimize operations.
